A new "entertainment dating site," eligibleman.com is putting a refreshing face on the dating scene. This Calgary-based site, with hosts Barb Mitchell and Michelle Ford, interviews eligible men with questions geared to showcase their playful side. For $29.95 per month, members can trawl through video clips of the dapper bachelors, message them anonymously to see if there’s a spark, and then if all systems are go, plan the first date.
There is a surprising array of men on the site, who range in age from early 20s to early 50s, with diverse careers – you’ll find a construction worker, a lawyer and a few entrepreneurs. Non-members can view pictures and a short bio with access to about two video clips before a membership form pops up. The site is easy to navigate with a breezy attitude that speaks more to having a laugh while you ogle the goods than a desperate air of "I need a man!" In addition to providing some eye candy, the site has suggestions for assessing the eligible men in the real world, plus dating tips and safety advice. |
