DINING OUT

Calgarians love their Vietnamese food. Dalat, the latest provider of Vietnamese cuisine to grace 17th Avenue S.W., was our readers’ choice for best new restaurant in town. And sushi’s a growing fave, too. This year, Sushi Kawa came on the scene like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, slicing its way to the front rank of Japanese eateries. The Broken Plate, meanwhile, triumphed with its superior Greek dishes (no word on how breakable they really are), while Marathon proved that Calgary palates have discovered the delights of Ethiopian fare.
