Tres Chicas debut effort Sweetwater is an effectively sparse and utterly charming roots outing. The simple acoustic guitars and shimmering Fleetwood Mac harmonies make a good case for unplugging music altogether, and the pining strains of violin add a sense of melancholy to their otherwise upbeat delivery. Like a Nashville version of Amy Mann, Tres Chicas lope along with patience and confidence, delivering a perfectly understated record.
