ANTIBALAS – What is America? (Ropeadope)
Antibalas’ eponymous wide-release debut a couple of years ago was electric, paying flawless homage to Fela Kuti’s invented musical style, while keeping it fresh, up-to-date and relevant to the musical background of the band. Their new album will follow in those footsteps, while kicking up the political commentary a sharp notch or two. Nothing but good news.
