EYEDEA & ABILITIES
E&A
RhymeSayers Entertainment/Epitaph
· Attention E&A: Cut the crap, make a single.

Do you want to know what this album sounds like – try playing a distorted Avril Lavigne CD on fast forward. This assorted grab bag of strategic storytelling, ego stroking, societal concern and repetitious noise clearly showcase E&A’s not so good Eyedeas and severe lack of Abilities.

It almost seems that this mismatched pair would be better off going solo. Abilities could spin the soundtrack to a breakdancing competition with his high-speed beats and Eyedeas could recite his prose to a counsellor who would hopefully help him out with his hatred towards work, women and the world. Songs such as "Paradise," and "Exhausted Love," depict Eyedea’s sick and warped (yet valid) view on relationships. He obviously got burned and can’t let it go.

If NWA and Eazy-E’s sexual fetish with obscene sound effects tickle your fancy, then allow E&A to tickle your ears with "Two men and a lady."

Sadly, only one track on this whole album is worthy of production and finding it will require diligent scrutiny on the part of the listener.
