| Re: Voting no is no solution in politics, by John P Roggeveen, Letters, February 26 to March 3, 2004.
I agree with your letter where you said that simply paying attention to politics for two or three weeks before the election is not good enough. What can we do though? A lot of us dont have time to see whats going on. I would say the majority of us young people usually vote whatever our parents or friends are voting. If there were pamphlets sent out or articles printed dictating what each individual group believes in and is working towards, it just might be a little easier to vote. We might even get a higher percentage of voters. A lot of friends of mine have made the comments that they know nothing of whats going on and who they should vote for. There needs to be more interaction with the public, and I'm not talking about these people going door to door talking to you. Who wants to answer the door to some stranger catching you in the middle of something and inviting you to talk about politics? Not me! A lot of young people read this magazine. What about having a page dedicated to bringing more interest in politics to the young ones? Help us make good decisions on who should be voted in.
