Relief for the DVD junkie shut-in
For some people, the local video store is a place where one can pick up a movie, proceed home to view this movie and then drop said movie off on their way home from work the next day. For others, it is a cycle of self-loathing for having unnecessary late fees due to last-minute free movie passes, losing track of time at happy hour or making out all night which causes these movies to remain forgotten on a counter. I know people that have actually couriered movies back to the store unwatched because they couldn’t start their car or leave their couch. If you’re ready to stop the cycle, there is a solution to this madness.

Acquaint yourself with the world of DVD delivery at dotvideo.ca. This Calgary-based site provides the most excellent service of delivering and picking up DVD movies to your door. Let's say you’ve finished work, gone to the chiropractor, picked up your drycleaning, picked up something for dinner and you are now riding the bus home. The thought of stopping off at the video store is not jiving with all your parcels and the wind chill outside. So you go home, log on to the site, pick from a selection of new releases and order a delivery time of 7 p.m., $4.99 plus GST later you’re relaxing on the couch, popcorn in hand.

The selection of movies is mostly limited to new releases, but there are new titles added periodically so it’s worth the time to check the site often. Delivery hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekends.
