| · A disappointing experience.
It seems like every time you turn around there is yet another Hendrix re-release begging to be added to your already bloated collection of the rock-gods work. Here we have a collection of samples from Chas Chandlers cutting-room floor, and perhaps they should have stayed there. Two fuzzy discs of B-side leftovers, only slightly more palatable than Voodoo Soup. This same label has also released Jimi Hendrix The Rainbow Bridge Concert, but a more worthwhile addition to your library would be the dynamic tangent-rich Japanese import Live at the Fillmore East (1999). Or, get your mitts on the 56 tracks boxed in plush violet velvet for The Jimi Hendrix Experience (2000). If youre really into far-out-takes try violin virtuoso Dr. Nigel Kennedys Kennedy Experience for Jimi with a neoclassical twist.
