Calgary's News & Entertainment Weekly
FFWD Weekly
LETTER
by FFWD Reader
Kudos for having nerve to speak out
Kudos to your newspaper! Especially for "Homeless Awareness Week focuses on aboriginal poverty," by Tom Babin (News, Sept. 25 - Oct. 1, 2003), a well-written article giving an aboriginal perspective from Carrie Neilson on how natives are often seen negatively in the city – even more so if they are homeless. This really drives the message home and shows that homelessness affects us all.

As an avid reader and fan of your newspaper – from my personal fave, the defunct Mr. Smutty (god rest his soul), to music, literature, movie reviews and upcoming festivals, concerts, etc. – I admire your writers and reviewers.

Congrats to Fast Forward for having the nerve to criticize our elected leaders and politicians – to show nobody is a sacred cow, unworthy of criticism. Your newspaper gives your readers a chance to share their opinions, however left or right they may seem, that other mainstream publications in Calgary wouldn't dare to.

Keep up the good work guys!
