LEDERHOSEN LUCIL
Tales From The Pantry
Independant
· Eine kleine grrrlmusik.

· Performing October 17th at the Night Gallery.

Another dose of hosemusik from musical innovator and German impersonator Krista Muir, Tales From The Pantry goes down like cold brau and hot rotisserie chicken during Oktoberfest. The trilingual Muir (a native of Montreal) burns up the charts in English, French and German – all the while sporting fake blond braids and faux-hosen. Wailing away on her palate of vintage keyboards like some cut-rate busker, the frenetic fraulein Lucil belts out her own capricious brand of Kraut-pop. Dynamic sampling and coquettish lyrics titillate and delight on 12 eclectic tracks that range from the music box whimsy of "Throwing Up Leaves" to the sophisticated soul of "Space." A mysterious hybrid of Kinnie Starr and Peaches, Lederhosen Lucil ranks high amongst the uber-cool riot grrls of rock. Wunderbar!
