PIG IN A CAN
You Can’t Poison a Pig
Fedora Records
· "Big-legged women keep your dresses down."

Enter the fantastic booty-shaking world of John A. Wilson and friends. Pig in a Can is an all-out experiment in electro-blooze techno-jazz fusion.

Bringing blues, spoken word and electronica into the same arena, You Can’t Poison a Pig is a stellar follow-up to the band’s convention-defying release A New Perspective on Blues, which similarly melded the old with the new. Meshing the more traditional Delta sound of the legendary Harmonica Slim with the modern sonic styles of Moby and FatBoy Slim, Pig in a Can slips past your guard and into your soul. Surprisingly, the influence of this so-called nu-blues movement does not diminish the charm of the album’s chitlin-lovin’ tales, as told by an aged pig farmer. R L. Burnside fans take note!
