| I just read David Bright’s commentary in this week’s issue of Fast Forward (Great American Experiment a great failure, Viewpoint, March 20 - 26, 2003), and I just wanted to express to you how much I enjoyed reading it. Despite all the coverage on the war in Iraq that we’ve been bombarded with over the last while, I think your opinion on the matter was very honest and refreshing.
The section in Mr. Bright’s article where you discuss your proposal on "What the rest of the world can do," I think, is right on the mark. I agree that America is one of the most disrespectful, violence obsessed, power hungry nations in the world, and the people who live there not only lack respect for international matters, but for themselves.
It’s nice to hear that not everyone is willing to bow down to conformity on this matter, and has enough conviction to make it known. Thank you for writing one of the most enjoyable pieces regarding the current state of world affairs I have read in a while!
