Picking up the punk rock torch where Nine Miles to Morgan left off, this Calgary four-piece brings explosive energy and discordant charm to its debut. Alternately screeching and singing their way through breakneck time and tempo changes, the Bees are equally at home with intricate guitar noodling and all-out sonic assaults. Reminiscent of vintage Promise Ring and punk stalwarts Cap'n Jazz, You'll Wish You Were Deaf is a hooky and exuberant powder keg with a maturity uncommon in such a young band.
