WEB WATCH
by Courtney Thompson
I seem to be looped up on far too much non-drowsy cold medication, which causes me to wander aimlessly (well, more aimlessly than usual) around the Web looking for things to amuse myself as I sink into the tissued haze.

Have a cold? Got some time? Relax into the surrealist zone.

At thesurrealist.co.uk, you’ll find a cozy little haven of strange that allows you to view moving Sheep Poetry, a guide for reconstituted television and an Acronym Liar. The Advertising Slogan Generator enables you to put all your favourite words to good use and impress your friends with hip and catchy slogans like "All you add is Penis" and "From our Mother to Yours."

The Other Listings Magazine portion of the site offers some reality TV series you don’t see everyday, and some entertaining programming options I might consider getting cable for – consider Simian ad lib Theatre, When Monkeys Attack and When Microwaves Go Wrong.

The ExquisiteCorpses section builds on the old parlor trick of writing a phrase or image on a piece of paper, then folding it with only a brief line or word showing, allowing general silliness to ensue with only a handful of people and a pencil. This may explain the disturbing image, "The Lonely Gardener Towers over The Landscape of Burning Paper" showcased on the site.

Personally, I’m blaming non-drowsy cold medication and too much free time.
