The letter contradicts Kleins repeated assertions that the science behind climate change is uncertain. The letter says the importance of rapid climate change has been known for 20 years, and the environmental benefits of implementing the accord outweigh the short-term economic costs.
The letter also berated Klein for not consulting any of the provinces climate scientists about the Kyoto issue.
