This week, poet, teacher and critic Douglas Barbour will launch his new book Breath Takes. The collection works with the Persian poetic form called the ghazal an intricate and challenging structure to work with in English. Barbours reading, sponsored by dANDelion magazine, takes place at the Triangle Gallery (104, 800 MacLeod Tr. S.E.) on February 23 at 7:30 p.m. Want to know more? Remember the Writers Guild of Alberta Fundraiser at Kaos Jazz & Blues Bistro on 17 Avenue S.W. this week. It costs $10, but if it didn't it would hardly be a fundraiser, would it?
