THE REAL McKENZIES
Loch'd and Loaded
Honest Don's

· Punk in drublic again! The Real McKenzies let it all hang out.

· Off kilt-er caterwauling with a distinctly Canadian flavour.

If the bagpipes were originally devised as a tool for striking terror into the hearts of the enemy, then pub-crawling, kilt-wearin’ punks The Real McKenzies have elevated this traditional instrument to new heights of tyranny. Their rousing battle cry? "Scotch whisky and Celtic pride!"

For the Vancouver’s clan’s third full-length release, Loch’d and Loaded, they went back into the old Scottish songbooks and resurrected a six-pack of well-loved tunes – punk style. Andy Stewart himself would raise a glass to their vigorous rendition of "Donald Where's Yer Troosers?" Although true to their formula, the finest track, "Scots’ Round the World," can’t hold a candle to the heart-bursting chords of the song "Mainland" from their previous album, the definitively named Clash of the Tartans.
