According to the Fast Forward readers' poll, the Ship & Anchor remains a favourite place to hang out for a few hours every week... or for a few hours every day.

Ranking number one in seven categories – including Calgary's best bar to spend a day in, best patio, and best restaurant/bar service – the response clearly shows that The Ship & Anchor has a loyal and appreciative following. In turn, the pub returns its appreciation by throwing parties for their growing list of pub stool regulars.

This month, the Ship is celebrating its 11th anniversary of entertaining 17th Avenue dwellers with English soccer broadcasts, Wednesday night gigs, Saturday afternoon jams and daily worship of the almighty ale. In tribute to the pub, we invited the staff and customers to compose a list of tell-tale signs pointing to the possibility that you may be a Ship & Anchor regulars (many thanks to Solange and Dave for their help).

You know you are a Ship & Anchor regular when:

· Your beer has been poured and is waiting for you before you walk through the door.

· You know not to ask for a Blue.

· The bar stool has transformed your ass into one giant callous.

· Not only do you get phone calls, but your mail is delivered there too.

· You've finally realized that the waitresses won't date you, but the bartenders might.

· You know whose blue pick-up is blocking you in.

· The staff knows your PIN number.

· Your name is on the "Dine and Dash" wall.

· Beef Gravy shooters.

Congratulations to the pub. Fast Forward wishes you many more years of continued success.
