One massive motivation this week and another party provides you with the opportunity to take it all in through Osmosis as late March lines up for the spring thaw.

This Saturday, March 24 Osmosis plans to feature some of the finest of Alberta’s DJ pool. Edmonton’s Christopher and Ariel and Roel visit Cowtown for this event, while local producer-DJ Jon Delerious turns up for a set as will Arien, Chris B and Sketch. Be prepared for a tech-house odyssey of magnitude. Tickets can be had at Feroshus, and you can get the larger picture by calling 233-9407.

In the jumbo party vein, Eternal Massive cues up on March 24 as well. This time ’round you’ll be privy to the headlining stylings of DJ Ernie, DJ Brian, Anabolic Frolic, and the flying dutchman, Mac Zimm, as they tranceport you through the massive wall of the mundane. Local support comes from Bazooka Joe, Mike Grimes, Pete Emes, Nick Luit, Skot Dub, Nigel, Al Bass, Symbiosis and Earl Von Bye. Tickets are available at Feroshus.

On the club front, every night seems to have limitless beat potential this weekend.

Thursday, March 22 Dreem takes place down at Bourbon Street, featuring Blissed residents Pauly Dee and Anthem plus guests. Next week, Nelson (of Angelli and Nelson) will be the featured master of ceremonies.

Friday, March 23 the Evolution continues at the Palace. This week, Dave Ralph (Oakie’s protegé and former understudy) hits town to convert the masses to the electro future. Ralph, who stylistically plays that crucial mix of trance and prog house – and whose recent disc on Kinetic, Love Parade Berlin, remains a North American bestseller – will be aided by Cary Chang and Doug Page. In the Plasma lounge you’ll find Mark Thomas laying out a deep blend of house.

In the mood for something on the more experimental side? Finland’s Pan Sonic hits the Emerald Café on Friday, March 23 for a set of bleeps, blops and beats. Taro-son and Honeey Mustard will take over after the show for all-night techno refuge. Back across the river, Soul Tattoo brings Pete Emes in for a round of breaks ’n’ house – he’ll be joined by the everlovin’ Phunk and Vinne.

Certainly not to be left out of your late-night loop is Brad Copeland, who’ll represent at the Warehouse for Friday’s all-night, late-night Horizon on March 23. Ottawa resident Copeland will play in the progressive side of the trance sandbox, and joining him will be Warehouse resident supreme Special Agent.

If you have anything left for Saturday, March 24 Emerald Café has Phelan and Anwar chugging the late-night train, while Soul Tattoo runs Pete Wylde and Jay Klos down its late-night Slide.

The Warehouse has its integral Blissed shaking your morning, with Pauly Dee and Anthem up and Bruno in the basement.

Sunday, March 25 turns a new leaf with the introduction of a new night, Bumpin’ Sundays in the basement of What’s Up. This week, to help inaugurate the night, Toronto Housing Project and Turbo DJ, Hali, will be in town to lend resident Refuge a special hand for the night. Hali has, most notably, played alongside deep house agents Kevin Yost and Roy Davis Jr. Doors open at 9 p.m.

On Monday, March 26 the Reggae haunts the Night Gallery dancehall as Leo C and Djewel raise the roof for your weekly shot of sunshine. Doors at 9 p.m.

Wednesday, March 28 turns up the Fehrenheit with super special guest DJ Rowland the Bastard with Domenic G and Delerious upstairs, while drum ’n’ bass selectahs, Jonus and Fever will be in the basement. Testa and Clarke join in in the red room.

On the radar for next week, DJ Sneak hits the Max Bell, Jo Mills plays the Warehouse and Judge Jules comes in on April 8. The decimator Dieselboy will be in town in late April.
