One of the most anticipated nights this fall offers a multitude of options for your dancing pleasure. Slide into your favourite goblin outfit and head on out as there’s no shortage of events to celebrate the day of the dead.

As always, on Thursday, techno diva Double D will hold court down at 1215 - 1st Street S.W. Double D is your resident selecta for Family and she, along with Duffy and other guests, will offer a multitude of techno wizardry for your feets. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Friday, rest your late-night hat at Soul Tattoo with Bounce where the ever deep ’n’ beautiful DJ Rice will make a late night pit stop along with Phunk and Vinne. Or check out Horizon down at the Warehouse where you’ll find guests Commander Tom, Marco Dux Baby, Grooverobber, Special Agent and Bazooka Joe rippin’ up the dancefloor for another late night romp. Doors open at 8 p.m. Not to be left out is Emerald Café, which will offer Honeey Mustard and Taro for a late night dissertation on techno. Emerald is located beneath the old 421 Meredith space, facing Memorial Drive.

Saturday, break out yer ya-yas for Fright Night 6. None other than DJ Hype will hit town to rock the riddum for a two-hour set of drum ’n’ bass hooliganism. Also on the bill for the evening are MC Rage, fever, Jonas Jordon, Wuli, Celcius, Domenic G and Ara de Leigh. In the second room, you’ll get Rowland the Bastard, Five Alive, Golden Child, Nic-E, Phunnk, Bounce and Pleasure. Your 18 and over V.I.P. room will include Al Testa, Sideshow Sid and Dean Clarke. Junglistic Scientifix will be offering up Halloween events down at JJ’s Bar and Grill on Macleod Trail. They present The Night of the Living Bass Headz – not only will you find the magnificent Lotus Queen playing, but this week you’ll also get super special guests Pete Wilde, Cykosis, Double D, Proph and Fanatyk. Those who dress up will get in cheaper so costumes are encouraged.

The Night Gallery brings in the night with Rye and Melo-D for their Disco flavoured, I Was a Teenage Disco Werewolf. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the funk starts there.

The Blissed crew will be gettin’ down Saturday at the Warehouse for their Halloween party – Bruno will play funky house in the basement in the newly dubbed room, Pulse. Doors open at 3 a.m.

Sanctuary will have Mel Reyes and crew lead you deep into the early morning, and Emerald Café will have Anwar, Phelan and Taro for yet another late-night foray in the green room.

Sunday, prepare for Coldcut, who’ll take the Warehouse over for one evening of head-tripping madness, complete with a multimedia entourage. DJ Dead Air will open and the after party will feature Magpie. Tickets are available at Melodiya, Sloth and Megatunes.

Wednesday, Fehrenheit and Embassy offer up Donald Glaude as guest. As always, you’ll find Domenic G, delerious, Testa, Clarke, Fever and Cereo playing as well.
