by Courtney ThompsonIf there’s anything better than porn it’s amateur porn. Well, maybe not, but amateur film – now there’s something you can download at work. If the latest at the box office is not to your taste then take a look at Atomfilms.com – it’s like having a video store at your fingertips. There may not be any big time stars, but there is a wealth of talent, innovation and freshness – and it’s only a click away. There is literally something for everyone, from animation and drama to the lewd channel option. Where else can you see Bikini Bandits and parodies of the Survivor show and Saving Private Ryan (or rather Saving Ryan’s Privates). Another bonus is the "rate and recommend it" option, which allows you to criticize others’ hard work while you sit on your duff.
The site is updated daily so it’s worth adding to your list of favourites. Additionally, a number of the films carry on for several episodes (especially on the animation channel) and you can always check the archives for classic segments.
There are a few catches, however, to becoming a Web cinema buff. You have to be a member to watch (joining is a snap and I have yet to get any ad junk from them), and I also recommend downloading the newest versions of Real Player, Flash and Windows Media Player. Most films are supported by these mediums, but Quicktime is starting to become more popular. If you don’t have either or haven’t a clue what I’m saying, the site usually offers to hook you up so you can view the newest films in style. A high-speed Internet connection also helps, but hey, if you’re at work it’s not really your time you’re wasting.
