Columbia· Perennial Vancouver rockers trundle on.
Just when they were getting too old and wrinkly to hold out much longer on their careers as video stars, Vancouver’s most lovable exports toss up 14 tracks that include a diversity of sound without sounding scattered, and a mapful of melody that only occasionally backtracks over their previous releases. It’s not that every song makes it, it’s that the pop has become full-flavoured without sounding vintage, that the craftsmanship and pride of ownership shines on the careful, exuberant production and on every little guitar lick.
