ZUCKERBABY
Platinum Again
Universal

· Second album from local pop rock outfit.

What is it about this band? How is it that when you first hear them, you say, "Oh, who’s that?" and then just as quickly don’t want to know. You don’t want to know because you don’t want to find out they belong to the here and now, not when they sound so damn mystical, like the original glam era without the white platform boots.

With super up-do production that surpasses their previous album, Platinum Again hits you on that level, instantly transcending wherever you are, and then just as quickly you wonder, "Am I just getting sucked in by the clever-cutey melodies and pre-fab charm?" Well, maybe, but at least you’ll be suckered in a way that doesn’t make you feel ripped off.
