· South Carolina electro funk duo.

Part electro, part chemical beat, this outfit from South Carolina have succeeded in making four interesting tracks of electro and chemical beat. That said, there are 11 tracks on this disc. Perhaps they should have invested in a drum machine that doesn’t reproduce, with such precision, the exact same drum track for each song, making one indistinguishable from the next. But unlike many American outfits, at least they don’t come at the electronics from a rock ’n’ roll perspective, trying to fuse goofy ’lectric guitars over every beat. Three years ago this would have been a good record – now, with the stakes of the electro world raised by the likes of the Idjiut Boys and Junkie XL, it sounds a bit dated.
