CD Review by Mike Bell PEARL JAM Binaural Sony · Sixth album from precocious rock band. What, do you suppose, was the last sound the dinosaurs made before extinction? A dull roar they’d made a million times before? A monotonous thunder rolling across the landscape that eventually faded into the vast night sky? A melancholic growl that once was awesome, but by the end easily ignored? No. Chances are the last sound those mighty beasts emitted before losing that futile battle with evolution was a thud as they fell flat and lifeless on the cold grey earth. Thud. 2/5
