Since Mike LaVella’s Gearhead Magazine will no longer be releasing split seven-inches with the hip hot rod magazine, Runnin’ On Fumes stands not only as a collector’s must-have ’n’ must-crank, but it’s a superior digital collection of some of the best garage rock all-stars out there. The Donnas, Man or Astro-Man?, Rocket From the Crypt, Girl Trouble, Southern Culture on the Skids, Monomen, The Melvins, The Hellacopters and more whiz-bangers all contribute scorching hot, mostly unreleased trax that squeal off into the red with breakneck speed.
