JACKPOT
Weightless
Future Farmer

· Second album from this succulent San Joaquin Valley trio.

The vocals are slightly lazy, like singer Rusty Miller is a bit tired or maybe stoned, getting high to balance out life’s lows. The songs cross rustic music with cinema verité lyrics: "People cryin’ at the shopping malls/ People cryin’ ’cause their tits are too small." Occasionally, they throw in a secret universal line, like, "Stolen candles and we’re sleeping on the floor tonight," and you feel as if they’ve captured a piece of your unspoken existence before their sweet summer music escapes into the air.
