AC/DC
Stiff Upper Lip
Warner

· 17th album nostalgically produced by Angus and Malcolm Young’s older brother George (Easybeats), who also produced four classic AC/DC albums in the late ’70s.

Pucker up, buttercups, because AC/DC are about to plant the sloppiest, juiciest smooch-a-roo square on your kisser. The bluesy stomp rockers return with 12 quick ’n’ dirty tracks on Stiff Upper Lip – sure to be the most victorious, decibel-chewing, hard rock album of the year.

Straightforward and lucid, the album drips with copious amounts of catchy, vintage highs and the kind of rousing, galvanizing riffage perfected on 1981’s For Those About to Rock We Salute You. Between deliriously melodic hooks and Brian Johnson’s outrageous "Satchmo" vox, the album calls for thunderous volume on either a) your walkman to insolently rattle your fellow city transit riders; or b) your car stereo while you hot rod all the way to the closest Wizard’s Castle. Fans will be euphoric to hear that their virile heroes are back and in impeccable form.
