Re: Re: Letter on Buzz column, by W. Saunders (September 3 issue)

I like your paper - its writing style(s), the depth of information, the fresh opinions, Red Meat, etc. But it was W. Saunders' letter which prompts me to write.

I thought she/he was a bit harsh in calling Buzz's exposé a stupid socialist comment and I just want to say: Never mind Buzz, there's always a few too-serious "anti"-social souls around who've never learned to experience the joys of true political debate. They're probably happier buying papers, like Conrad's new national, which disseminates all the comforting right opinions.

As for costs, I'm glad Fast Forward is free (like a gift to the community) and I sure don't mind if business advertisements pay for my copy since they also give us valuable information. It seems to me like a fair arrangement. And isn't that what simple economics is all about?

Re: Letter on Buzz column, by W. Saunders (September 3 issue)

I cried when farm implement dealer and writer Stanley "Buzz" Angus's column was called a "stupid socialist comment." Here, a common farmer's friend, a country-punkin is telling us spiced-up tall tales of political incorrectness and such. Nothing wrong with that.

I tell you that the laws of ions and political spectrums makes a pendulum swing. Newspeak is a Conrad Black in a white-inside-black hat. Manning is a Lougheed left and Trudeau was a communist right of Chretien. The cows make chocolate milk at home. Makes no sense to me, but that W. Saunders could be a far-out fascist!

Hey Buzz! How about yelling to us why all those-them big farm machine manufacturers are out in Ontario East when the bread basket is out West?

Now that makes common folk sense!
