I cannot believe all the negativity I have read in the past two weeks regarding how Calgary's mayor gave a white hat to China's president during APEC.
It certainly appears to me that the majority of Calgarians don't understand Big Business. The world goes around with money, and it won't be political pressure that will change China's stubborn heart. China is a perfect example of a country that needs to be destroyed by war in order for a "Better Western Society of Human Rights" to exist.
For now, those contracts with China are employing Canadians, making money for our society and our citizens to better ourselves. What do you think we should do, not do business with China and let someone else make the profits and send our country into more of a decline? Keep our povety and ignorance just because we don't like the way China treats its citizens? That's small town thinking, typical of you Calgarians who picture "Shame" under your mayor. Your mayor has a done a great thing - boosted economy for the city - you should applaud him. No wonder people in the world generally think of Calgarians as small thinking people, you citizens prove it.
Next time another leader of a country comes to Calgary to do business, and your mayor boosts the economy, think twice before you speak, otherwise all the people of the world will hear from you is ignorance.
