Be Kind, Please Rewind
by Jane McCullough

Microcosmos
Directed by Claude Nuridsany and Marie Perennou
Starring Bugs

Also available for sale this week, this incredible documentary looks at all things small. The amazement comes in the detail that is captured by simply following various points of the life cycle of different insects. A simple narration bookends the film, providing only an introduction and conclusion to the tiny world; the rest of the stories tell themselves. You get a glimpse into the hierarchy of ant colonies and mating rituals of a snail, all to exquisite musical compositions by Bruno Coulais. Baraka makes an excellent substitute on the homo sapien level.

The Last Time I Committed Suicide
Directed by Stephen Kay
Starring Keanu Reeves, Claire Forlani and Thomas Jane

Referred to as jazzy (which might be in reference to the soundtrack, as well), this film tells the story of Neal Cassady and his adventures in love and life. This lower profile movie seems humble in presentation and Reeves delivers a performance which is reminiscent of his role in Feeling Minnesota; he's worth watching when he choose his films wisely.

As you all know by now, also for sale is the new, new edition of the Star Wars Trilogy. You'll want to buy it if only for ASP-7 lifting heavy objects for those Star Wars farmers.
